Genetics, Evolution, and Creation | The Most-Asked Questions DVD by Dr. Georgia Purdom, Answers In Genesis
From gene duplication to beneficial mutations, more and more evolutionists are attempting to use discoveries in the field of genetics as proof for common ancestry of life on earth. In this informative new DVD, Georgia Purdom (PhD, molecular genetics) examines these arguments and shows why they are not evidence for common ancestry. Using non-technical language and illustrations, Dr. Purdom examines mitochondrial Eve, proposed human chromosome 2 fusion, ancient repetitive elements (AREs), gene duplication, and beneficial mutations to demonstrate that these “proofs” of evolution are nothing of the kind, but rather can easily be explained from a biblical worldview. Three out of the five most asked questions I had never even heard of before, so very informative video for me. What I liked best of all was the point that just because someone is a PhD scientist who may head the NIH and play a major role in the Human Genome Project does not mean we should take what he says at face value. In other words, don’t let the white lab coat dictate truth, study things out for yourself because men are wrong and worse, they lie. Like Dr. Purdom says, we need to go back to the word of God and let it dictate truth.
