God’s Amazing Creatures & Me!
A creation devotional for children ages 6-10, which shows detailed, pen and ink illustrations of animals – mammals, insects, birds – paired with a description of each, then an application for the youthful reader. In exploring God’s awesome nature, it is helpful for children to understand God’s design for them. For example, just as the monarch butterfly emerges from a cocoon to soar to heights above the clouds, so too can we all rest in the knowledge that God has made each of us special, and He has great love and a plan for us.
what can we learn about ourselves and the way God sees us? Plenty. God has put His principles in action everywhere to teach us more about Him:
- Even though they all appear the same, no two zebras have stripes that are exactly alike. Likewise, every person is also unique in God’s eyes and stands out from the herd.
- Once a year, millions of monarch butterflies migrate over 2,500 miles to a place in Mexico where they have never been. (Amazingly, they all arrive on the same day!) Just as God is concerned with this small creature reaching its final destination, so is He much more interested in us and our final destination.
In God’s Amazing Creatures & Me, more than 40 animals are on parade as each displays a wonderful principle for us to follow as we learn more about the Kingdom of God.
