SECRETS of the ANCIENTS and the Downfall of America

What can ancient technology tell us about the creation vs. evolution debate and is the U.S. doomed to the same fate as past civilizations? The stair-steps of demise explained in Secrets of the Ancients

Evolutionary science would lead us to believe that over time we have become a lot smarter. That’s what we read in our textbooks, but a careful examination of cultures from the distant past proves that there is a whole lot more to the story than we are being told.

On this episode of Wonders Without Number, we will examine the “Lost Secrets of Ancient Civilizations”, including ancient technology that causes today’s scientists and engineers to wonder in amazement! History has proven that mankind has always had the ability to think and use his God-given intellect in amazing ways. But we often fail to follow the moral codes and rules of Scripture, and civilization after civilization has fallen because of sin. Where is America in this repeating pattern?

A fascinating introduction to our past
Understanding the truth about our ancestors is an important part of breaking free from evolutionary thinking. We get so used to thinking of distant generations as slow and “primitive” it can be a real eye opener to recognize just how brilliant they actually were.
Snavely does a great job exploring this with Rives in a short, rapid fire overview of the big picture followed by several examples. I liked that his tour included more than just the ancients’ skill with stone work (mind blowing as it was), but also textiles, sound systems, and understanding of flight.
We are wise to be cautious when studying these pagan peoples, especially as many websites today play right into their idolatrous worldview, but it is equally wise to remind our young people that our past isn’t filled with ape-like boneheads, but rather the brilliance God instilled in us from the beginning.
PS This interview is better than most at holding the attention.
