Welcome to our World
Give your kids a truly Christian worldview as they experience creation like never before! Get ready to meet these four modern-day missionary kids as they adventure far into God’s creation and discover the rich wildlife of the jungle of a remote Pacific island.
Jewels of the Jungle
Meet Asher Wild and his three fun-loving teenage brothers. These home-schooled missionary kids live deep in the jungles of Southeast Asia. Like most boys, they love to catch strange bugs – jewels of the jungle in all sizes and colors. Their bug collection is super-sized!
Get ready for an amazing underwater adventure! The hard-working Wild family is joined by missionary friends for some restful “down time” at a nearby island’s tropical shoreline. However in true Wild family style, the boys (and their parents) soon set out to discover new things about God’s creation.
The Wild brothers track the legendary Tasmanian tiger (called “Mbakngge” by island natives). This striped, howling creature is supposed to be extinct, yet sightings have been reported for years. Tribal people tell stories that sound accurate. Now this adventurous missionary family is determined to uncover the truth as they deepen their relationships with the people of their mountain.
Island of the Gods
Wherever Morgan and his brothers turn, Hindu and Buddhist influences are evident. Temples and statues to the Balinese gods, ancestors, and animals abound. The people of Bali worship creation instead of the Creator, and as the brothers set out to understand and explain the rituals, their curiosity nearly gets them in trouble. Bali’s elaborate temples, ritual dances, and traditions reveal a deep need for the creation-based gospel of Jesus the Creator and Savior! An eye-opening, family friendly look at a major world religion. So get your family together, and have your discussion guide ready, to fully enjoy an adventure you will never forget!
Changes in Latitude
The exciting sixth episode in the Wild Brothers series reveals many changes for the Wild family. With just a few months before their return to the States, dad, mom, and the boys must say goodbye to the Wano tribe and travel to the coastal towns of Sentani and Nabire to be transported into the twenty-first century and prepare for their long trek back. This fun episode features the eldest son, Morgan learning to drive and preparing to leave the island for college.
Preparing for Departure
Using simple tools and resources, Dad and the boys begin work on a Polynesian double canoe (commonly referred to as a catamaran) to navigate the family back to the USA from Papua, Indonesia. With help from other missionaries and a few superstitious locals, the whole family works to construct a watertight wooden vessel. However, big problems must be overcome. The parallels to Noah, his sons, and the huge Ark they had to build spur the Wilds along to complete their boat and prepare for the journey.
Deep Sea Canoe
The four sons of Mike and Libby Wild are ready to set sail on a WILD journey. Their destination? Home! Months of meticulous planning and careful building are over. The Wild family is now ready to start their long and danger-riddled voyage from New Guinea to the USA on their handcrafted deep-sea canoe! Solar panels have been added to keep the boys’ computers and video cameras energized. Excitement fills the air as they anticipate the breathtaking sights and new discoveries that lay ahead. However, an unexpected impediment suddenly stands in their way. What will God do? How will they respond? Climb aboard the big Polynesian catamaran for an inspiring family adventure!
